During the past year, I’ve had so much fun launching Eighteen Flowers for Grandma. I’ve enjoyed meeting young readers, parents, grandparents, and teachers. A particular delight of sharing this book has been hearing family stories about grandmas!
Eighteen Flowers for Grandma is a Center for the Study of Multicultural Children’s Literature Best Book of the Year and an Honorable Mention for the Krout and Elmore Children’s Book Award for Best Portrayal of Aging. This book is also on the National Education Association’s list of recommended titles, “Celebrating Jewish Culture with Books,” and on the Book of Life Podcast’s “My Completely Unofficial 2025 Sydney Taylor Book Award Shortlist.”
Thank you to all the bookstores, libraries, and organizations that hosted events. I’m grateful to my writing community for helping to send this book out into the world. Thanks also to incredible illustrator, Jesse White, and my wonderful publisher, Red Comet Press!
